Frequently asked questions

Is PetNotes really free?

Yes. Every feature — reminders, family sharing, friends, the nearby map, galleries, invitations — is free with no limitations. There's an optional one-time tip in Settings if you'd like to support development; nothing is unlocked by it because nothing is locked to begin with.

How does family sharing work?

Open Sharing & Friends from the main screen, create a family invite code, and send it to a family member. Once they enter the code, your pets, diary events and photos sync automatically between your devices.

What can friends see?

Friends are separate from family. Adding a friend with their friend code only shares your planned walks — when and where — never your pets' full profiles, diary, or photos.

Can I share just one pet's photos?

Yes — open that pet's Gallery, then Gallery Sharing, to generate a code just for that pet's photos and videos. Send the code to a friend so they can view it in PetNotes.

Why didn't I get a reminder?

Check that notifications are allowed for PetNotes in your device's Settings app, and that the event has "Notify me when due" turned on. You can also adjust how many days ahead reminders fire in the app's own Settings tab, under Reminders.

How do I change the app's language or appearance?

Open the Settings tab in PetNotes for language (English / Українська) and theme (System, Light, or Dark).

Does PetNotes work on iPad and Mac?

Yes — PetNotes is a universal app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and keeps your data in sync across them when family sharing is enabled.
